Star BAY - 1-bedroom condo, 17th floor

Please don't book Star Bay through Agoda. The company listed there took my money but didn't provide a room. Agoda emailed me to wait in front of the building gate and contact someone who would guide me, but that person never confirmed the booking, and my money was gone. Agoda wouldn't refund me and told me to ask the hotel to email them. How is that my responsibility?

We had to find another hotel just to get some sleep. The room was filthy and covered in marks, and cockroaches were crawling over the bed, walls, and floor. They even ran over us while we were trying to rest. The bed and couch had springs and nails poking into us, so neither was usable, and I wouldn't be surprised if the sheets hadn't been changed. At the entrance, a man was catching mice or rats with his hands. Check-in happened in a hot car park without even a greeting. When we asked to leave, they told us to go and refused a refund. In correspondence, they changed their name to DV residence and took no responsibility for this filthy place. The worst place we've ever stayed. It should be shut down. I wouldn't give it one star if I could. The only decent reviews seem to be from local friends who aren't being truthful.

I'm local, but the owner still kept my deposit. They promised they'd return it without a contract, then stopped answering my messages when it was time to move out. Never book this apartment.

I paid for a room, then the host told me it was fully booked. They hadn't checked the order and offered no solution, and I never got the room. Very disappointing. I wouldn't recommend booking here.
