The biggest issue for us was cleanliness. Our rooms were dusty and dirty, with fingerprints on the glass, and the rattan furniture, including bedside tables, had old crumbs and dust in it. The bed linen and towels were clean, and there were plenty of towels. It’s a shame the rooms weren’t cleaned more thoroughly between guests. The TV in our first room didn’t work. The room itself was spacious, with lots of storage, a TV, fridge, and kettle. Rooms with a sea view are best. The location is ideal for the beach, bars, and restaurants, and transport can get there easily. The pool looks out over the sea. There’s a restaurant next to the hotel that worked well for the four of us who were vegan, though it was a bit more expensive than nearby options.

If you don’t want to spend $1,000 a night or stay in the middle of nowhere, this is a perfect place in St Kitts. It’s by the Caribbean Sea and part of a strip with lots of food and drink choices. There’s a quiet, reserved section of beach with sun loungers, the staff are great, and the rooms are good.

For the price and location, this place is great, and we’d definitely come back. The room was clean when we arrived, and room service was offered every day. The staff were helpful and friendly, with advice on excursions and local shops. Timothy Beach Resort is right by Frigate Bay Beach, which has restaurants serving great food and drinks in a cozy atmosphere. Taxis are often waiting outside. The room is a little dated, as other reviews say, but I found it charming. Unfortunately, it was full of biting bugs, and my poor mother got bitten at least 50 times during our week there. They eased off toward the end. My guess is they may come in while the cleaners are working, perhaps if they leave the door open, since the shared area outside our room was full of bugs. Many TV channels didn’t work, though that wasn’t a big deal for us.

The location is fantastic, right on the beachfront. We paid extra for a high floor room with a sea view, and it was worth every penny. The big balcony had sunbeds, a table, and chairs, so we could eat breakfast looking out over the ocean. The king size bed was really comfortable, and there was a fridge. When I asked, they brought a kettle, bowls, and spoons to the room. There’s a great bar just below the swimming pool where we started each evening, with lovely views of the beach and sea. The staff there and throughout the hotel were friendly and happy to help. Reception also offers free use of a safety deposit box. Loads of bars and restaurants are only a few minutes away, and it’s easy to get out and see St Kitts. We loved visiting Nevis and staying overnight; we used Ken’s taxi and tour service, which I’d 100% recommend. This is a great place if you want the beach and a wide choice of bars and restaurants close by, while still being far enough away to get a good night’s sleep.
