The room temperature reached 27°C (80.6°F), and the next day the bathroom’s underfloor heating seemed to be turned up even higher. We stayed for about nine days last spring, visiting our home country for the first time in a long while as overseas Koreans. The temperature imbalance made the stay very uncomfortable, and everyone in our family caught a cold. We couldn’t fully enjoy the activities we had planned. When we asked if the heating could be lowered or another solution offered, we were told it couldn’t be adjusted just for us because other guests were cold. What upset us most was receiving no apology or compensation for the inconvenience. I understand this is one of the older hotels in the area, dating back to when Sang-dong New Town was first developed, but the experience was very disappointing. Would you recommend it to your family and friends based on this?

The awkward location and dated condition are obvious throughout this old hotel. The rooms need refurbishment, and breakfast was poor, just the basics. There’s no room service, and I had to ask at least twice for tea pouches and whitener. They don’t even have a luggage scale, so be careful. The worst part was breakfast at exactly 10 am. The restaurant manager told us to leave, saying they were closed. We understood that service was over, but as we were leaving, he let a local come in for breakfast. It seemed racist. Stay away from this property. I wouldn’t stay here again even if it were free.

The staff were very friendly and helped me a lot, arranging taxi drivers and recommending a good restaurant. They can speak English, too. The hotel was clean and comfortable. It doesn’t have facilities like a swimming pool or a good gym, but overall it’s a good hotel.
