I stayed here despite the problems, but it was disappointing. I only gave it two stars because the location is good and the host could be contacted by email. The washing machine was free, though it had stale, wet towels in it. The biggest issue was that nobody came to sort out problems. Two toilets were blocked, and when I messaged about getting the plumbing fixed, the reply was just that toilets 3, 4, and 5 were available. I said the blockage was making the halls smell, but nobody showed up. Other guests said it had been like that for days. The place looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks. All seven toilet paper rolls were empty, and the hand soap, shampoo, and body wash were nearly gone. The body wash had a strange consistency. There were no towels, and the host told me by email to buy one at a convenience store and said they’d refund me, but nobody was ever around at the hostel. There were no comforters in my room, so I took them from empty rooms. Room 6 doesn’t lock, and anyone can walk through the front door. The shower pressure was low. I’d expected better, especially from a hostel in a nice chain in Korea. Maybe it would be acceptable in a third-world country, but not here. There are lots of other hostels and cheap places nearby. I wouldn’t stay here if no one is looking after it.
