SoTA Collection The Terrace

Great views, with lots of restaurants and shops nearby. I really enjoyed staying here, it's a really good place. One downside is there's no clothes rack or drying machine.

The room had an amazing view, and everything else was great. There were just two little snags. Since it's an officetel, the soundproofing is only okay. And the room had an espresso machine but no cups, so I drank my espresso from a rice bowl... our little secret.

The good location on Gwangalli Beach was the only real plus. For about 200,000 won a night, we had a front view and stayed two nights, but the room was small and wasn't cleaned during our stay. The amenities weren't replaced either, and the bathroom was small. The bed made it hard to sleep well. It was small, maybe comfortable enough if you sleep alone, and the pillow was too high. There was plastic under the bed cover that rustled, and the frame stuck out enough that someone sleeping on the inside could bang their shin getting out at night. The mattress was uncomfortable too. Everything besides the location was a downside. I won't come back.

It feels like this could just be called an Airbnb. I stayed several nights, and as expected there was no room cleaning service. The price seemed a bit high for that. The view was partly over the ocean, but I could see straight into the building across the street, so I had to keep the curtains closed. The place seemed clean hygiene-wise, but the capsule coffee machine was dusty, so I didn't use it. There were lots of dishes in the cupboard, but they had mold when I took them out. I was going to wash them first, of course, but felt so put off that I didn't use them.
