Sunset Hotel

The location made it easy to get to the beach, markets, and plenty of places to eat. But my stay in early December was uncomfortable. It was 10-15°C outside, while the hotel had fixed central heating and had switched off the air-conditioning for the season. My room got extremely hot, and sleeping like that was difficult. The little awning-style window only opened a crack, so it didn't bring in enough air. I asked reception for a fan. The staff member didn't seem pleased, but eventually brought one, and I had to carry it up myself. That fan was the only thing that got me through. If you're visiting from November to March, be aware the rooms can get very hot, almost like sleeping in an oven. If you're sensitive to warm rooms, you may want to consider somewhere else.

We spent 5 days and 4 nights in South Korea, from 22nd December to 26th December 2025, on our first visit. Sunset Business Hotel was very conveniently located for us, with a few halal restaurants across the street and Heaundae beach just around the corner. The modern, clean rooms had comfortable beds, and the service was impeccable. Mr Lee at Reception was kind and very helpful in making sure we were comfortable. Thank you, Mr Lee, and kudos to Sunset Business Hotel. In Shaa ALLAH, we hope to return soon.

We couldn't stay for our final nights and had to request a refund. On arrival, we found a used toothbrush in the bathroom. The bathroom itself had makeshift pipes coming from the floor above, black mould and water damage on the walls and shower curtain, and such poor drainage that water went everywhere. The sixth floor, where the lift opens, was an accessible and dangerous construction site. This place calls itself a three-star hotel, but the conditions fall far short. It was very disappointing and felt unsafe. I wouldn't recommend it.

This could have been great value, but at 11:30 am I was jolted awake by construction noise so loud it made the room vibrate. I told the staff, and they did nothing. An occupied room shouldn't be subjected to noise anywhere near that level without a serious warning or compensation, or both, even at 3 pm.
