The Westin Josun Busan

The hotel sits at the far end of the beach, but getting to nearby restaurants was surprisingly easy. I liked the sauna, gym, and members lounge, and there's a nice park right beside the hotel. Breakfast was pretty ordinary, with limited choices.

The staff were friendly, and the beach is nearby, though the shoreline itself isn't especially scenic. Getting to the mall areas means taking a taxi, but fares aren't expensive since the malls are close. I didn't take photos. The rooms are clean and maintained, but the design feels dated and the toilet area is cramped. The shower is over the bathtub, and the small toilet space has a door that swings inward, so the layout feels awkward. The bed is soft, plush, and comfortable enough. The aircon thermostat seemed faulty: it kept turning off as soon as the room got cooler, leaving a strange void-like, breathless feeling. They don't provide toothbrush sets, and when I asked, I was told they don't offer them at all and charge for them. That's disappointing at the prices Westin Josun charges. They provide a comb, sanitary pad, and cotton buds, so the go-green, no-plastic reasoning for not supplying toothbrushes felt odd. I know some hotels don't leave these items in rooms, but they usually provide them on request, like aloft KL. If this were a budget, no-frills hotel, I could understand. I gave it 3 stars because it's a Marriott Bonvoy hotel charging 5-star prices, but the treatment didn't even feel like 4-star service.

The view was breathtaking, and I had an amazing stay. The restaurants on the first floor served food I really enjoyed, and all the services were great. Food and shops are close enough to walk to or reach by Uber. I checked to make sure, and there isn't a hot tub, though saunas are available for an extra charge. I'd recommend this place to anyone visiting.

I'm from Malaysia and stayed here from 11th to 14th Dec 2025. My room was very clean and had a nice beach view. The staff were especially polite and helpful. I was surprised that they all refused tips, even though I felt they deserved them for their good service. I'd definitely stay here again if I return to Busan.
