In a fairly central part of Busan, this budget hotel turned out to be a pleasant surprise. I was traveling solo, and although the room might feel compact to some, it was comfortable and worked well for me. It even had a small balcony overlooking the city, plus a kitchen for making meals and a TV with YouTube and streaming services. The shower head was connected to the sink, which was kind of neat and gave me a bit of an illusion of ordinary life in Korea. Bottled water was free and kept getting replenished.

The room had stains all over the walls, broken bathroom lighting, hardly any space to shower, and trash on the balcony floor. They hadn’t supplied basic things like garbage bags or tissues. Yet they still brought up extra cleaning fees and other charges, even though the room clearly wasn’t properly maintained. I’d booked and paid for three nights as a solo traveler, expecting a decent stay and at least some care for a guest there multiple nights. Instead, I felt I was treated worse than someone staying just one night. I was thinking about extending, but the older male receptionist’s attitude put an end to that. I won’t stay here again. I checked in quite late, around 11PM, and the receptionist seemed displeased and asked why I’d arrived so late. That felt out of place. I disliked the room I was given. For one night it might have been okay, but I had three nights booked, so I politely asked if I could move to one with a better arrangement. Staff said it was too late to make changes, and told me to come back in the morning, promising they’d try to find a better room. When I returned, the older male receptionist was extremely rude and disrespectful, and I felt very uncomfortable. He didn’t try to help and immediately said I’d have to pay extra to change rooms, despite what the previous staff member had told me. I asked if he spoke English so I could communicate more easily, since English isn’t widely spoken here, and he became aggressive and even more disrespectful. I don’t understand how someone with that attitude can work in hospitality.

The place was spotless and had everything I needed, including a comfortable bed, table, and washing machine. It's right in the city center, just two minutes from the subway. Getting there from the airport by public transport takes about an hour. Highly recommend it.

The room has plenty of equipment, including a microwave, washing machine, wardrobe, clothes rack, and a huge refrigerator. It's under a three-minute walk from Exit 16 of Lianshan Station, with a GS25 and BBQ fried chicken downstairs. Nearby businesses stay open late, which makes the area lively but noisy at night. Cleaning isn't included during a stay and costs 20,000 yen; you can take your trash downstairs or leave it outside your room. I had planned to come back, but on the third night I woke up at 3 AM to the doorbell. A man and woman kept knocking, and the man repeatedly said “C8.” I thought they might be drunk and at the wrong room, so I ignored them at first. A few minutes later they came back, rang and knocked again, and tried entering the door code. I was scared and couldn't get back to sleep. I told the staff the next day. They said they couldn't access the security cameras and that I had to call the police myself. They didn't help at all, seemed to think I was the noisy one, and left a note on my door. Management really needs to improve.

The place is clean and affordable, with good privacy, Chinese-speaking staff, and a subway station nearby. The downside is that major sights like Jagalchi are a long way off, more than a dozen subway stops.
