Amare Hotel

Pretty good.

I stayed here with my child on a trip to Daegu. The downtown area looked crowded and was mostly motels, so we picked this place instead. We found a convenience store and restaurant nearby, and the staff were friendly. Our room was clean, and breakfast was great. The stylus in the room was useful for business travelers, too. I plan to stay here again next time I'm in Daegu.

The rooms are quite spacious. There are two elevators, and the second floor has breakfast from 7:00-9:00 AM as well as a water dispenser. After you exit the door, the smaller CU rooms are on the right.

Rated 3.2. The hotel is in the hotel district by Songhoji Pond, and the interiors are quite clean, with air-purifying plants in the rooms. There's a bathtub with a spa function as well. The bathroom door has a design issue, though, so watch out because its rails can come off. Hotels around Songhoji Pond traditionally offered breakfast because the distinction between hotels and motels was based on having a restaurant, though that distinction doesn't really apply these days. Perhaps that's why they all serve breakfast.
