I’ve never run into a policy like this before: check-in starts at 5:00 PM, check-out is at 11:00 AM, and on checkout day you can only leave your luggage until 1:00 PM. That last part was especially frustrating.

We stayed for five days and four nights, from 10-14/5/2026. The staff were helpful, courteous, and cheerful when we arrived early at 7 AM, and kept our luggage until the official 4 PM check-in. The location worked well, with plenty of shops, restaurants, and convenience stores nearby. The WowPass kiosk is just around the corner on the 7th floor of Toyoko Inn Daegu Dongseong-ro. We didn’t rent a car, but bus stops were easy to find using Naver Maps, which made getting around Daegu’s outskirts relaxed and straightforward. Breakfast was simple but really tasty, and thoughtfully laid out. I appreciated the fresh milk and juice in jugs, plus butter and jam packets kept in a glass-fronted fridge. There were also snack bars with noodle cups, biscuits, and seaweed snacks available until 10 PM every day. The bathroom was spacious, and the shower’s glass door helped keep bath water from splashing around and making the floor slippery. Every time we came or went, the staff greeted us with a smile, saying things like “Good morning,” “Have a nice day,” and “Welcome back.” It made my days. I highly recommend the hotel and will return to Daegu.

The location in Dongseong-ro is great, and both the staff and rooms were pleasant. The main downside was some noise from outside.

It’s a lively area, handy for shopping and finding places to eat.
