Dongducheon Just Sleep Hotel

Jihaeng Station is right across the street, and there are lots of restaurants nearby where you can grab a meal. The rooms and facilities were very clean. I booked the VIP Movie Room and really enjoyed watching movies on the 100-inch projector. The bathtub was a little inconvenient because it wasn’t connected directly to the drainpipe, so the bathroom would flood after use. The free extended checkout through the military promotion was a big plus. I booked this place again for my stay.

I went without knowing the cost and was dumbfounded. They charge 120,000 won for 12 daytime hours in a room with a computer for two, and call it a military dormitory. On weekends, it’s 50,000 won per night, with an extra charge per person for the dormitory. It feels like a thug-run dump. It makes more sense to go to Uijeongbu and use the dormitory. This is a branch of the 28th Division in Dongducheon, but Uijeongbu is in a security zone anyway, so please don’t go there.

The facilities are dated, and the cleaning was poor. I wouldn’t recommend it.

There’s no breakfast, and they seem to need to do a better job cleaning.
