Nungmaru Guesthouse

The hosts were kind, and the place was clean, with private bathrooms and a simple breakfast included. It's a decent guesthouse in a handy spot if you want to stay in or around Myeongdong. Finding it was the tricky part. A couple of taxis wouldn't take us because they didn't recognize the address. I don't think that's the host's fault. I guess the address had recently changed and still wasn't coming up right on GPS.

The owner was very helpful, and the room was clean. It's small, but has the basics and a lot more for cooking: an induction cooker, rice cooker, sink, microwave, medium-sized fridge, and cooking utensils. We like making our own meals, so that was a real plus. The area has lots of guesthouses and is quite close to myeongdong train station, a few convenience stores, the halal restaurant Kampungku, and a very big daiso outlet 😁😁.

The owner kindly moved me to a bigger room without charging extra. The guesthouse was clean and comfortable, and close to myeondong station, a halal restaurant, and a mini shop. I had a good stay and felt it was worth the money. 👍👍👍 One thing I'd like to see improved is breakfast. They only had milk, bread, and cereal, and I hope the owner can add eggs.

Mr Kim was very hospitable, and the guesthouse is close to Myeongdong nightlife and the station. The bed springs were loose, though, and there was no ventilation in the bathroom. If you're bringing a lot of luggage, keep in mind there's a slight slope on the way in.
