Ramada Gunsan

The hotel is a bit outside the city centre, but there are a few restaurants within walking distance that stay open late, plus a convenience store. There’s underground parking. No restaurant is available in the hotel in the afternoon. My room was spacious, practical, and clean enough, with the basic amenities. The bed was very comfortable, though the air conditioner sits right above it. WiFi was very good, breakfast had good options, and the staff were friendly and kind. A very pleasant stay for a business trip.

The staff were really friendly, and the updated, modern rooms were spacious and clean. It was decent for the price, though there was a smoky smell in my room. Opening the windows helped. My main issue was the air conditioning, which wouldn’t lower the temperature when I tried. The hotel has a breakfast buffet, but it wasn’t anything special. There were local restaurants and convenience stores within walking distance.

It’s close to the lake park, which was great for walks, and the staff seemed friendly. Most spoke passable English. The hotel is only a couple of years old, so it still feels new, and I really enjoyed my stay. It was completely booked for a couple of nights while I was there, though, which meant long elevator waits and a somewhat chaotic breakfast.

I’m in Gunsan for work a few times each month and keep coming back here. I’ve tried the other hotels in town, and this is the best overall for me. It’s clean and modern, with an excellent breakfast buffet, and it’s next to Eunpa Lake. Parking can get extremely crowded during tourist season.
