The location was okay, close to Gwangju Station, not Gwangju-Songjeong Station, and right across from a convenience store. Once I got into the room, the low price made sense. It was average enough, but the cigarette smell seemed to have soaked deep into the walls. The bed was firmer than I like. For one cheap night, you could do worse, but I wouldn’t recommend staying longer.

We had a room with a broken window. I asked for an extra key, then accidentally lost it. I let the owner know, and was told I had to pay 100,000 won, but I wasn’t given a receipt. What kind of hotel charges such a ridiculous amount for a lost key?

The building looks old, but they seem to keep it in good shape. My room had slightly heated floors and disposable slippers, which kept my feet warm, and there’s a convenience store right across the way. The parking was nice and sheltered from rain and snow. I was visiting for work, and with two beds, it’d also suit a trip with colleagues. The service was friendly, the price reasonable, and everything I needed was provided. I had a comfortable, relaxing stay.
