Chacharang Guesthouse

The guesthouse was very clean and well kept, and I had a great time staying there. The older couple who own it were so kind and welcoming, even though they don't speak much English. If you speak Korean, it would be really interesting to chat with them. They also run the coffee shop next door, called YOGERPRESSO, where you can sit and have a coffee.

The staff were nice, but our room was just 2m by 2m, with a tiny window looking onto the parking area. There wasn't really a shared space either. It's a decent choice for one night if you're on a tight budget.

We ran into one problem after another. The staff didn't speak English and didn't seem willing to try. Five days before we arrived, they raised the price without giving a reason, when it was already too late to cancel for free. During our stay, people cleaning the guesthouse whom we'd never seen before threw away one of my pairs of shoes without checking whether they belonged to us. Luckily, I had another pair. Our towels weren't changed over the few days we were there, and breakfast was quite basic.

The owner was very friendly, and the place was clean. It's right beside the tombs, with all the sightseeing spots within walking distance. The old train station is a 15-minute walk away.
