Dreamhill Motel

The location was good, close to everything, and the room was spacious with a fridge and air conditioning. But the bed was awful, the most uncomfortable I've ever slept on, and I had a hard time getting any rest. Check-in service was pretty terrible. We waited 40 minutes at the reception at the scheduled time because nobody was there. There never seemed to be anyone at the desk, so I had to search all the floors for the manager. An older woman working there also questioned us, as if we weren't the people who'd rented the room. It was strange, and I didn't understand why. The woman doing room service was great.

The room was clean and comfortable, but the internet was very weak and kept cutting out. I had the same problem in two different rooms.

My room, 201 on the first floor, was spacious and had an en-suite bathroom with a working whirlpool tub. It came with soap, shampoo, towels, slippers, air conditioning, a fan, a microwave, tea and coffee facilities, a mini-bar with two free bottles of water, a courtesy kit, and a huge smart TV with a laptop. Free Wi-Fi was available too. The bed felt a bit hard, though that didn't bother me. The elevator wasn't working when I arrived. The hotel is just steps from Golden Street and the main sights, yet it's on a quiet side street at night. From the outside it looks nice, but inside could be tidier and use some renovation. The few staff I met didn't speak English, which wasn't a problem for me. The place has a slightly retro, unusual feel. In my opinion, the woman there seemed to handle a bit of everything. Even so, I found the hotel more than fine and would recommend it.
