Check-in was quick, which I appreciated. They don't give you extra water, though, and the nearest convenience store is about a 10-minute walk.

The owner is very friendly, and the inside has been remodeled and is fairly clean even though the outside looks shabby. You can see the age in the facilities, so if you want everything spotless, you might want to look elsewhere. Nearby restaurants are hard to reach on foot, but a short drive gets you to an area with lots of shops.

I barely slept and left early in the morning because the smell in the room was so strong. I usually stay until checkout, but this time I even ended up eating a snack and drinking milk in my car in the parking lot. The whole stay made me feel unwell, even eating was difficult, and now I have a sore throat after sleeping on the cold floor. We came for a quick Chuseok trip. After eating nearby, I called because I’d heard the place was clean, but the owner’s manner in person was nothing like what I’d heard over the phone. I was shocked. After a lot of back and forth, I nearly went elsewhere, but figured “good is good” and stayed. That was a huge mistake. Our room was on the first floor and smelled strongly of cigarette smoke as soon as I walked in. There was hair and dust on the floor, and I couldn’t tell when the bedding had last been washed. Cobwebs and spiders were on the walls and ceiling, and the air conditioner was covered in mold. I wanted to switch it on to clear the odor, but couldn’t bring myself to. I cleaned the floor and was going to sleep directly on it. When I asked about heating, I was told it was central heating, so I just spent the night on the cold floor. Was it only the two rooms we rented that were like this? I’m angry at the restaurant owner who had vouched for the cleanliness. They need to pay much more attention to hygiene and the surroundings.

For a reasonably priced motel that’s easy to spot from the roadside, this is a good value option.
