Gloucester Hotel and Resorts

Getting around is easy from here, with buses and taxis nearby, shops and restaurants close by, and a 7/11 in the building on Level 2. Parking was a real hassle, though: the Korean-only signs aren't clear, and the lot is behind the hotel. Rooms are basic, with the essentials but not many facilities. The centralized heating also means you can't adjust the air conditioning, so the room got uncomfortably warm.

The room was spacious, but that was about the only good thing. Wi-Fi didn't work at all, and the front desk staff were cold and unhelpful. I brought up several problems and got no real response or attempt to make things right. The whole stay felt unsettling, and I wouldn't book here again or recommend it without serious second thoughts. We barely slept the first night. Around 2:00 AM, loud noise woke us up, including a woman singing, and we could hear doors opening and closing in other rooms. The soundproofing was awful, and the room felt eerie and uncomfortable, leaving us on edge. We asked to change rooms for the second night, hoping it would help, but the stay didn't improve and no sincere effort was made to address how distressed we felt. The basics were lacking too. There was no toothbrush or toothpaste, the slippers were cheap and unpleasant, and the harsh shampoo left my hair extremely dry and even caused dandruff. The hotel didn't feel welcoming or restful, and it wasn't worth the money.

We arrived from Busan very early for our 3 pm check-in and spent time waiting in the lobby after an early lunch. I asked the front desk if we could get a room if one was ready, and Mr Bruce kindly arranged it for us. We were in Jeju on May 4, 2026 and stayed at Gloucester for the night. Thanks for the excellent service, please keep it up.

We paid for a place to rest, but spent the night stressed, exhausted, and unable to sleep. The noise was unbearable, with constant squeaking, high-pitched wave-like sounds, humming, cable-pulling noises, and even clear conversations from next door. The soundproofing was terrible. Around 2:00 AM we called the lobby, desperate for help, but no one offered a room change or any real fix, and there was no concern shown. The Korean staff were cold and unwelcoming, with no empathy. Basic hospitality was missing, and this hotel failed to provide a quiet, comfortable place to sleep. I’d never stay here again and would tell others to think twice before booking.
