They provide a simple breakfast of toast and porridge, and checkout at 10:30 is unusual. The bedding and towels were clean, but there wasn't a mirror in the room, which was inconvenient. The room floor had been painted brown for an old-fashioned look, though the color kept coming off on wet wipes. Getting there also takes a bit of effort: it's about a seven-minute walk from the public parking lot, which is difficult with a child and suitcase.

The spot is ideal, right inside the charming hanok village. There's a free guided tour each day at 11:00 AM; ask at the nearby Tourist Center. The rooms are small, and the futons are very thin, so keep that in mind if you have back problems. Breakfast is quite basic and a little unusual, with black sesame paste, sliced apple, and toast with strawberry jam. You'll need to buy anything extra outside.

Being a Hanok, the room had a draft, and it was smaller than I expected. I found hairs on the bedding here and there, which was unpleasant. The owner's service was good, though, and the location inside Hanok Village made it easy to get around.

The room was a bit small, and the mezzanine seemed too stuffy to sleep in. The house itself felt somewhat old and gloomy, though it was reassuring to see the owner airing out a pile of blankets and mattresses in the sunny part of the garden. The owner was friendly and could speak English. Breakfast came to the room at 9 am: black sesame porridge, unusual but traditional, plus toast with strawberry jam. There were two futons and a small blanket and a large one for two people, so I wasn't worried about back pain or getting cold. The underfloor heating got super hot. Even with spring temperatures outside around 0-10°C, the room could feel like summer. It was fully equipped with an emergency kit, power strip, vanity table, and more. The location is in a small alley off Taejo-ro, the Hanok village's main road, near PnB Bakery and handy for food and sightseeing. It's between Omokdae + Jaman painting village and Gyeonggijeon Temple + Jeondong Church.
