Dear Sir or Madam, We stayed at The Suites Jeju in Room 113 and checked out yesterday. I am writing to report the loss of high-value personal belongings on June 12, 2026, while our luggage was in the hotel's custody. At 11:00 AM, we checked out of Room 113 and left six pieces of luggage with the hotel: two black American Tourister suitcases, one large and one small; two grey suitcases, also one large and one small; a handbag; and a backpack. Just before leaving the room, we checked the backpack and confirmed it contained a pink pouch with two boxes of jewelry and a personal SIM card. We stayed inside the hotel facilities from 11:00 AM to 5:30 PM, using the spa for a massage and then having lunch. At 5:30 PM, we asked staff to return our bags. When we opened the backpack to get the pouch, the pouch, jewelry, and SIM card were missing. Our taxi had been waiting since 6:00 PM and left at 6:35 PM. We had to unpack and search all six pieces of luggage six separate times in the hotel lobby. We estimate the financial loss at between 10.000 euros and 15.000 euros (approx million to more than 10.3 million KRW), as well as the serious security risk posed by the personal data on the missing SIM card. The staff's response was dismissive and unacceptable, without the empathy or professional responsibility expected in these circumstances. The way this was handled was a serious failure of customer care and accountability. We demand that management immediately provide the official, legally recognized complaint and dispute forms needed to file an institutional claim against the establishment. We also insist that Jeju Provincial Police Agency and The Suites Jeju Management promptly and thoroughly review all security footage from 11:00 AM to 5:30 PM on June 12, 2026. This should include the luggage storage area, main lobby, corridors serving Room 113, and all relevant entrances and exits. We expect immediate direct communication from the General Manager or a senior executive of The Suites Jeju about both the missing high-value property and the negligent treatment we received. This is a serious security breach involving personal data and valuable belongings. We expect Jeju Provincial Police and the hotel administration to treat the matter urgently. We are awaiting an immediate response, the requested documents, and the official channel for contacting you. Sincerely,

GRACE Y.
The hotel isn't what the booking platform advertised. It's really small, with one small pool and nothing else, more like a 5* motel. There's no bellboy or any real service. The worst part is the air conditioning and heating. They're there, but you can't control them, even though different rooms and guests need different temperatures. That was really bad, and I can't believe this is a 5-star hotel. It makes me wonder if this is the standard for hotels in Korea. They even give you a paper cup in the bathroom instead of a proper glass for rinsing your mouth. The staff and front desk weren't great either. Basically, there was no customer service. I don't recommend it, and now I understand why the price is lower than nearby hotels. Definitely don't pay for breakfast. It was only chips and a hotdog for $35. I regret staying here and would rather pay more for a better hotel 😓

On my first trip to Jeju, I really liked the views, surroundings, and rooms here, and the service was good too. The price was reasonable compared with other 5-star hotels. The hotel grounds were quite large, with a swimming pool, and it's near the beach, so you can spend time there. Breakfast is a buffet, available for an extra charge, and I really enjoyed it. There's also a bar and restaurant inside if you don't want to go out, though they were quite expensive.

I stayed in a double room with one other guest in September 2016. We didn't book any extras or meal packages, so this is just about the room. It was clean, organized, comfortable, and fairly spacious, with the proper amenities plus a few extras you don't usually get at a hotel of this caliber. The balcony was ample too. The main problem was the air conditioning at night, which was basically nonexistent. The thick, heavy sheets had both of us waking up sweaty. We asked the front desk the next morning, in Korean, if there was a problem with the air conditioning in our room or on the floor. They said it was normal and suggested opening the balcony door for ventilation. They offered a fan in case it got worse, but it didn't seem like much help for a room this size. After the first night's cleaning, everything was back in order, but there were quite a few insects that I had to deal with myself. A hotel of this supposed quality shouldn't have pest issues. The staff were friendly in the usual Korean way. We once forgot to turn off Do Not Disturb, and the hotel kindly called to ask if we still wanted the room cleaned. Parking was manageable, and we always found open spaces along the sides of the hotel. The location is great and the price decent. Without the air conditioning and insect problems, I'd have given it five stars.

The breakfast buffet was okay, with a wide enough selection to suit everyone, and the rooms were fairly big. Staff were friendly, and the hotel is nicely located. But the automated check-in and check-out system wastes time and makes the first contact unpleasant. The receptionist has to help you check in anyway, so what's the point? Prices for rooms and room service are expensive, like everywhere on the island. As others have said, this feels more like a 4-star hotel than a 5-star one.
