Courtyard by Marriott Seoul Pangyo

I finally managed to get a long reservation here for a business trip after finding it hard to book one in the past. The views from the 18th floor were beautiful, and the executive lounge worked perfectly for work meetings when scheduled in advance, followed by happy hour. Rooms were very comfortable, and the service, laundry, and other services were excellent. Breakfast was fine and typical for Asia, more like a great lunch or dinner, though breakfast items such as coffee were just okay. My one frustration was the bedside outlets: there was only one, and only on one side. I use a cpap, so I couldn’t charge my phone overnight. It’s hard to understand why hotels still don’t provide enough outlets by the beds.

The staff were patient, friendly, and easy to communicate with, and the service was excellent. What stood out most was how they handled a taxi overcharging problem. I was almost ready to give up, but the hotel team took the initiative to contact the taxi and the relevant parties for me, and managed to get most of the extra charge returned. I felt supported and well looked after as a guest. I’ll keep choosing and supporting this hotel in the future.

The concierge team made things easy, offering helpful suggestions, arranging cars, and even shipping an item we’d forgotten. The hotel breakfast was delicious and had a good range of options. We spent a lovely week there while visiting Korea from the United States. It’s close to lots of things and to the subway, so getting around was easy. We’d be happy to stay again.

I’ve stayed here several times over the past few years, and the professionalism of the staff has impressed me every time. Everyone provided exceptional service. The hotel breakfast is easily the best I’ve had. Thanks to Catherine Chu at the front desk for helping with several requests.
