Nine Tree By Parnas Seoul Pangyo

We really enjoyed our stay at Nine Tree by Parnas Seoul Payngo. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, the breakfast had plenty of tasty choices, and the hotel has a pool for all ages, a coin laundry, and a gym. It's modern and beautifully designed, with great facilities. The location is quite far from central Seoul, though it's closer to Everland. During the holiday, the shuttle to the nearest station wasn't running, which made getting around harder.

The location is reaaaaallly far from the main Seoul areas, including Myeongdong, Itaewon, Hongdae, Dongdaemun, and Insadong. Taxis, Uber, and K Ride are really cheap, though Seoul's peak-hour traffic can leave you stuck in one place for a freakishly long time. I couldn't find the metro, so we used Uber and K Ride every day. Food nearby might be a bit more expensive than elsewhere, and late check-out costs an extra 22k won. Check-out is at 11 am. We booked the “Family Room” with one queen and one single bed, and it felt incredibly spacious to me. I absolutely loved the long space beside the tele for putting luggage. Other hotels should take note, because little things like that make travelers want to come back. The rooms were clean, the beds comfy, and the bathroom amenities luxurious, including CLOUD FOREST “Unbalance”. The air-conditioning was interesting, but honestly, I couldn't fault the rooms. There's an ice machine and microwave on every level, which is super nifty. The washing machines and dryers were amazing too. Our clothes came out thoroughly clean, smelling nice, and fully dry, with none of that still-wet laundry feeling. The lobby lockers are huge and free for the first 12 hours, and there's a weighing machine too.

It was easy to get to the restaurants since the hotel is inside a shopping mall. The pool looks like a fun place for kids. Huge thanks to Hailey for helping us check in!

The buildings are new, and that's about the main thing going for the hotel. The facilities and rooms are new and nice, but the employees weren't as "new" or as nice. It's inside a shopping mall that's about 90% empty, with only a handful of shops. Unless you find a good breakfast place nearby, which isn't easy, I'd skip the hotel's buffet, which starts at 7am, unless you're famished. I think they charge extra for extra towels, which feels cheap given the room prices. The 90-minute swimming pool limit is just too short.
