You can get food and beer within a five-minute walk, and there are lots of nearby massage places too if that’s your thing. The hotel itself is clean and quiet, with cold AC and free coffee, juice, and water. Staff are friendly, though they don’t speak English. You don’t need a reservation. Basic rooms cost 50,000 won, with VIP options available, including one with a massage chair. I’d recommend it to anyone passing through Seosan. Lovely little town.

I’ve stayed at around five motels nearby, and this one comes out on top. The owner is really friendly, and the complimentary basics are great: toast, ramen, drinks, and coffee.
