I love the hotel's central location, right by a metro station, and felt very safe here as a solo female traveler. Reception staff speak English. The suites on the top floor are beautiful and reasonably priced. I took off a star because two tall buildings now surround the hotel, leaving no view from the window.

The rooms are large, clean, air-conditioned, and well equipped, with a king-size bed. The location in Gangnam is central and close to the metro. But the curtains were stained, and there was no English spoken. All the instructions and explanations were in Korean. Customer service was practically nonexistent. Staff not only couldn't speak English, they seemed annoyed by questions. I asked for a non-smoking room but got a smoking one, and when I asked to change rooms, they refused.

The staff were helpful, and the hotel itself was clean and comfortable. The wifi in the room didn't work.

The TV was still good, luckily, but the place felt like it was falling apart. The design was dated, the bed creaked, and the doors wouldn't lock.
