My only regret is that we didn’t stay longer! This was the best of the three guest houses we tried in Seoul. The bed was comfortable, and our reasonably priced basement room came with a nice bathroom, a computer, and a good TV. The staff were all friendly and helpful, even printing our train tickets and bringing them down to us. The kitchen was kept very clean, with unlimited tea and fresh coffee. Breakfast was included too, with eggs and toast for guests to help themselves to in the morning. The guest house is conveniently next to a train station, and Hongdae is a 10-15 minute walk away.

The hosts were warm and lovely, and the location was great. Still, with all the high reviews, I expected more, even knowing it was a hostel. The cleaning needs a lot of work, and the air conditioning was weaker than I liked. Between those problems, I struggled to sleep well and left after two nights of the four I’d booked.

It’s affordable and there’s quite a bit of space, with Hongdae less than a 10-minute walk away and all the hot spots close by. The owners and workers are the best, and they really care about how you’re doing. You’ll meet some great people here, too. Thank you, chocolate factory!

The common room and kitchen were nice, and I thought it was good value for the price. There were lots of Taiwanese guests, including a manager from Taiwan. One thing needs fixing in the 6-8 bed dorm: the guard on one of the three upper beds came off easily. Apart from that, things were good overall.

The rooms were nice, with curtains around the beds, and I liked the staff. Breakfast with egg and toast was provided, and the location was great. But the shower and bathroom areas were very dirty, and there wasn’t any soap or similar supplies, so I took off two stars.
