I felt really comfortable here. If you’re going to Seoul, stay here.

This isn’t really a hotel where you can just walk in and get a room.

Grandpa speaks some basic English, and Grandma’s cooking was delicious. It felt like being back at my grandparents’ home. I stayed for two nights and had a wonderful experience. The location was great, too. My flight got into Seoul in the evening, and I was worried I might miss the subway after reaching Seoul Station. Grandpa reassured me that he’d come pick me up there, which put me at ease.

Breakfast was delicious, with Korean home cooking. In the evening, the father made me kimchi ramen and the mother fried eggs for me. I stayed two nights: the first night I had the spacious room to myself, and the second night I slept behind a partition at the back of the living room, where the parents usually sleep. Their warm, loving hospitality was lovely, and I can see why the guesthouse is so popular.

The grandparents who run the place are really nice. It’s very close to Exit 5 at Chungjeongno Station.
