Dormy Inn SEOUL Gangnam

The room was a good size for one person, and I especially liked how quiet it was. The location is great, though there’s a slight uphill walk from the Main Street. Staff were super friendly and accommodating. I had an evening flight, and they let me leave my bags after check-out. I loved the free ramen each night, and I’d recommend the breakfast add-on too. My only complaint is the very firm bed and pillows. The bed felt like the ground with a sheet over it, and the pillows felt like bricks wrapped in more sheets. I gave five stars because that’s just my personal preference, and other people may like that level of firmness.

There are plenty of restaurants and bars just a three-minute walk away, and the airport bus stop at the Novotel is right next door. Sinnonhyeon Station is an eight-minute walk, so getting around and to the airport was easy. The service was excellent, with friendly, helpful staff who always greeted guests with a smile. The rooms feel brand new, are clean and modern, and have what you need for a comfortable visit. There’s a small onsen too. It’s clean and relaxing, though compact, and there isn’t a dedicated place to rest afterwards. Still, it’s a nice way to unwind at the end of the day. A great value option for a modern hotel in Gangnam.

The hotel itself was a typical stay, with everything about what I expected. What I remember most is how kind and sincere the staff were. I got sick on Chuseok, when it seemed like all of Seoul was closed, and they called a taxi and told the driver to take me to the nearest hospital. I extended my stay by one night, and the staff made that easy. They also checked how I was feeling afterwards. This review is late, but I really appreciated the care they showed, which went beyond basic service.

An affordable, warm, cozy Japanese-style hotel in Gangnam. The snacks and drinks here and there make it feel homey, and the style stands out from the other hotels in Seoul.
