The staff were really helpful and let me check in early. My room was clean, and the hostel is in a handy spot. I’d happily come back.

There’s a dining space in the lobby, which came in handy since a nearby market made it easy to pick up local food. The hostel is quiet, comfortable, and very well looked after. It’s organized enough that I barely needed help, though the staff were friendly and useful when I did. The location made getting around Seoul simple: the nearest subway is under five minutes away, with Myeongdong and Seoul Station just one stop from there. Great value for the price, and I’d recommend it if you want somewhere clean, quiet, and well placed.

The location works well, and it’s clean and feels safe. The rooms and shared spaces are pretty basic, with more of a hostel feel.

I found the lobby unwelcoming for chatting with other guests. It felt more like a local dining spot for older people, so it wasn’t a comfortable place for foreigners to sit and socialize. I saw plenty of Southeast Asian guests, though. The staff seemed to speak only Korean and didn’t feel especially welcoming to foreign visitors. The elderly man sitting at reception was friendlier and nicer than the other guy, who talked politics on a sensitive subject and was rude when people disagreed with him. The location was neither especially good nor especially bad. Laundry in the building cost 17,000 won, which felt too expensive, so I used a nearby coin laundry instead. That turned out fine, and I enjoyed chatting with people there.
