Forestar Hotel

My four-night booking was from 21st October to 25th October, and I would never come back. The room they moved me into was much smaller than the one I’d booked, even though I’d paid for the bigger type. They said they couldn’t replace the bathroom light bulbs, so they changed my room after the lights and charging cable failed. Cleanliness was awful: the bathroom was wet when I arrived, towels left me with red, itchy skin, and there were stains on the pillows and sheets. The walls, tables, and bed were badly worn and dirty, and the aircon was full of dust. Anyone with allergies should avoid this place. Things were either broken or dirty, and for this price there are plenty of other options.

There was mold in the bathroom, and the check-in terms were a mess. I booked because the listing offered a 2pm check-in, but when I arrived, staff told me mine was at 10pm. They said 2pm applied only to a particular room and wanted another 70,000 to let me in earlier. When I politely asked to cancel, they refused and said there’d be no refund. It felt like a bait-and-switch and extortion. This was hotel forestar in sinchon.

Do not book here. My two colleagues arrived to find their Expedia booking extremely unclean. After they contacted Expedia, the hotel offered replacement rooms, but those were filthy too, even after staff said they had been cleaned and inspected. The hotel refused to refund the unused days. I eventually got an Expedia agent to give me store credit to make up for the awful experience. My colleagues sent me photos of the rooms.

It’s near wangsimni station, and the staff are very service-minded. Lots of customers come to use the service. Reservations have to be paid for in advance.
