That enormous super king bed is the thing I can't stop talking about. I've never had a hotel bed this big, and it came with six pillows. The electric toilet seat kept me warm in winter, and there was a blue waffle robe. I paid under $100 a day, and after staying four weeks, it still cost me less than a one-bedroom flat in London. It's been the best hotel I've stayed in so far. I'd strongly recommend it to anyone visiting Seoul. It's close to Gangnam and within walking distance of a metro station. A taxi to Sinsa cost around $8k on the taxi app. The place has a trendy concrete, steel and metal look, plus a 60-inch flat-screen TV. In my opinion it deserves four stars, even though it isn't rated that way. There's a gym, rooftop bar and restaurant, and a laundry dryer room. The room is rectangular and practical, but not spacious. The grey concrete color scheme gives it a bit of a jail-cell vibe, and there's not much space for luggage. There's no desk in the room, though you can work at the desk space in the cafe downstairs. For one person it's good, since the bed is massive and there's a shower. As a couple, though, you'd have very little space outside the bed.

The hotel's mascot is funny, but I wouldn't recommend staying here, even with its downtown location. They charge a lot for what they offer, likely because of the location and demand. I'd go to Novotel instead. It costs a bit more, but I had a great experience there and think it's worth it. The rooms are tiny, and the front desk service wasn't great, a little rude even. When I asked them to call a taxi, they said there weren't any. It's hard to believe Seoul has no taxis. I spent 30 minutes outside in the rain trying to work out Kakao, the local taxi system, which is much better quality than Uber. There's almost no soundproofing. If your room is on a lower floor facing the street, the constant honking at the intersection can drive you mad, even with earplugs, and you can hear people talking outside. The hotel is usually booked, so another room may not be available. The AC sits right above the bed and blows on your head. Turn it off and the air gets stale.

I spent eight nights here and liked the room. It was small, but cozy, and the bed was amazing. The subway is very close, and there are convenience stores and laundromats nearby, both open 24/7.

I stayed in Room 1407 for three nights in September 2025. I went to bed feeling fine, then woke with itchy bumps all over my face and larger, swollen red ones on my hands, arms, and torso. I believe these were bed bug and mosquito bites. The front desk employee put on a fake look of concern and pretended to care. I saw a doctor, got ointment and a prescription for the rash, and emailed the hotel about it. The medical costs were minimal, but they still offered nothing, not even an apology, partial refund, or reimbursement. They just said, 'sorry we can't help you.' They were happy to take my payment when I booked, though. The mattress was filthy. I found hair, dust, dirt, and red and dark brown bed bug feces under the white sheets that had looked clean. Take the sheets off and you'll be shocked. It's gross. They did nothing about the bed bugs, mosquitoes, or dirty mattress, and showed no semblance of customer service in the hospitality industry. Apparently all of that was acceptable to them. What a horrible hotel. Don't be fooled by its Michelin Guide listing. I can't believe I slept in that bed. This was the worst hotel experience I've ever had. Never again.

The staff promptly cleaned my room and were accommodating when I asked to borrow an adapter. Breakfast is good value by western standards, though fresher bread would be my one suggestion. I was disappointed that the shower had no hot water, even though the sink did, during my two-night stay. The sheets also weren't soft, and could use a higher thread count.
