Hotel Chloe

The room comes with crockery and a microwave, which is handy. I’ve stayed here before, and the location is good, conveniently close to the airport limousine bus stop. The room toilet needs improvement: water pressure is weak, and there aren’t enough hooks or storage for clothes while showering. Reception staff weren’t friendly; their expressions made us feel like we owed them something. I also don’t get why we had to leave a 10,000 won deposit for a second key card when there were two of us. The live TV channels are limited too, with no SBS, KBS or tvN.

Check-in was smooth, the staff were efficient, and it’s convenient for shopping and transit. My room was quiet and clean, with a comfortable bed and new TV and furnishings. It was very small, fine for one person, but not somewhere to plan meetings. The kitchenette works for instant drinks or heating takeout, not real cooking. The hallways are showing wear. The bathroom was small, with no separate tub or shower, which I didn’t mind, but the fixtures were crusty and the grout and caulking needed a deep clean.

The location is the strongest point. The airport bus stop is right outside, and restaurants, shopping malls, museums, markets, cafes, money exchange and all kinds of transport are just a few minutes away. Rooms were clean, with good room service, hot water 24/7 and good internet. Staff speak English, reception answers quickly, and they let you leave luggage. There’s a microwave and kitchenette, slippers, a shoehorn, hangers in the wardrobe and a mosquito net. Price was average. The rooms are very small and not good for 2 people. There’s a lot of noise from nearby rooms and the corridor, the shower head doesn’t work properly, and the bed is very uncomfortable, with a small twin bed. There’s no restaurant or café inside, no oven despite the cooking tools, nowhere to store shoes, no clothes rack, no dedicated smoking area and no bidet. The door was problematic, and you may wait a long time for the elevator. The shower isn’t separate from the toilet, so the toilet is inside the shower area. If you’re staying alone, it’s okay.

An affordable, budget-friendly stay in Seoul, near the subway. The rooms are neat and have a small kitchen. I think some rooms may also have their own clothes washer.
