Hotel Cinema

The rooms are roomy and the subway is right outside, which helps make the price feel like good value. It's an old place, probably dating back to 2010, and it's stayed much the same while buildings around it have disappeared and new ones gone up. I wouldn't call it the best of all the places in Jongno.

I've stayed here often, but one male employee was completely out of line. I had booked just to sleep and then leave. Usually they call when time is up, tell me there's an extra charge, and I have to pay again if I'm late. This time he just ordered me to hurry out without explaining anything. I was in the shower, so I was late, and he pounded on the door. I said I'd be out soon, but he kept insisting I leave right away and cut the power. He hadn't told me about any extra charge. I even said I would pay more, but he said that wasn't needed and still demanded I come out. I had to shower by my phone's flashlight, couldn't dry my hair, and left. At the counter I argued with him a little. He was incredibly rude and called us pathetic losers when I said I'd pay more. People like that shouldn't be in the service industry.

Walking there is good value, but the road is so narrow that I wouldn't recommend taking a car.

The location, service, and price were generally satisfying. Getting there by car wasn't convenient, and seeing so much hair around was a bit disappointing.
