Hotel Dada Insadong

Right in the heart of Insadong, with a cafe on the first floor and lots of restaurants close by. Nice hotel.

The location is good, close to scenic spots, and the staff were helpful about cleaning and unblocking the toilet every day. Unfortunately, the room and toilet were old and dirty, with stains and mold throughout the bathroom. The toilet clogged daily and flushed terribly. I asked to change rooms, but they couldn’t arrange an empty room for moving our luggage. We had to check out at 10 AM and return at 3 PM to check in again. That was disgusting and unbelievable. The room temperature also couldn’t be adjusted, and it was sometimes very hot. I’d suggest spending a little more to upgrade to another hotel.

The rooms smelled really bad, and the bathrooms were awful. There’s only a curtain between the shower and washbasin, so the floor is always wet. The front desk and service overall were terrible. They wouldn’t let us check in early even though we had children with us. A really bad experience at this Insadong hotel in Seoul. Please look elsewhere, even if you’re on a budget.

The staff were polite and very helpful whenever I needed something, and I had a pleasant stay overall. I was traveling alone and stayed for 10 days. My double room was fine for one person, though it might feel small for two people with luggage. The bathroom was average-clean, with fresh towels every one or two days and basic items like shampoo, shower gel, and hand soap. The TV and hair dryer worked fine. The location was the best part for me. Anguk station is five minutes away, and another subway station is also close. It was convenient to get back from anywhere in Seoul while exploring the city. The hotel is very old and really needs renovation. The mattresses were hard to sleep on, and the AC made a noise when it was running. If those things would bother you, I wouldn’t recommend booking here.
