Hotel Yaja Sinlim

The area itself is good, with bowling, bars, cafes, shops, and restaurants, and there are plenty of love motels nearby. I’d suggest seeing the room in person before booking. Our room didn’t match the Agoda listing: it was much smaller than pictured, less nicely decorated, and the jacuzzi bath was broken. The place smelled strongly of cigarettes, with nicotine tar stains on the walls. Staff wouldn’t refund us or move us, saying rooms were “randomly allocated,” even though we paid for a larger, nicer room. It wasn’t romantic or worth the money.

The remodel made the place look better, though there was still dust, maybe because the work had just finished. Water leaked through the tempered shower glass and made a dusty mess. The bigger annoyance was that the shower sponge they used to provide was gone, even though it cost 1,000 won, so I had to wash with my palm. There’s parking, ramen, and popcorn, and you can earn points or get one free visit after seven stays. I heard points can even be exchanged for dolls. If things are improved by my next visit, I’ll add a star. ^^

The location is decent and the room interior was cleaned well, but it’s an old motel and there was quite a lot of dust.

There was dust all over the floor, in every little corner. I’d planned to party with a friend, but it put us in such a bad mood that we just ate instead. ^^;; There weren’t any towels in the room either. When I said so, they told me to get some from outside. I was honestly dumbfounded lol.
