Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas by IHG

I spent eight nights in a junior suite and had a very pleasant stay, with renovated hardware and wonderful service. The food was great at both the grand kitchen and the club lounge. The elevators could get crowded and take a while, though. Fascinating hotel, and I’d definitely return on my next Seoul trip.

The steam room and sauna were clean, relaxing, and a great way to unwind, and the wellness staff were very helpful. Our room was spacious, spotless, and comfortable, a lovely place to return to after busy days exploring Seoul. What made our stay at the InterContinental Seoul especially memorable was the staff. Everyone we met was genuinely kind and attentive, and most spoke English very well, so communication was easy. They did their best to help with any request and made us feel welcome. We’ve enjoyed other InterContinental hotels as loyal IHG guests, but this visit with my husband felt special in its own way. We loved our time here and would choose the InterContinental Seoul again.

During the 3rd meeting of the Joint Commission on Economic Cooperation between the Governments of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Korea, and the Azerbaijan–Korea Business Forum, I had the chance to visit Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas. Its Gangnam location, directly connected to COEX, makes it a particularly suitable venue for business gatherings and large delegations. The spacious halls, well-organised logistics, and smooth technical support provided a comfortable, professional setting for discussions and networking. The way the forum and meetings were organised reflected the hotel's experience hosting major international events. The hotel brings together elegance, efficiency, and Korean hospitality, making it a fitting place for diplomatic and business engagement in Seoul.

Proximity to Seoul’s main tourist spots is a real plus, though I wouldn’t especially recommend it for a sightseeing vacation. Our family booked a suite, and our membership didn’t qualify us for a better room, so the view wasn’t much to look at. The hotel had lovely festive Christmas decorations, and there was a pleasant perfume scent as soon as we walked in, though it could bother guests with sensitive noses. The toiletries felt below the quality I’d expect in Korea, which is known for skincare, and some items, including toothbrushes and toothpaste, weren’t actually complimentary when we stayed. Staff service could feel hierarchical too. Without paid membership, we didn’t get the warmth I’d expect at a five-star hotel. It’s a good hotel, but those points gave us pause.
