Hotel Amare

The refill bottles for the shower products really need to be cleaned and replaced. They were nasty, with soap buildup, and the combs and brushes had hair in them. I always check for this kind of thing in hotels, and cleaners seem to miss it. On the plus side, there's free water day and night. Hotel Amare is tucked down an alley near the road with food stalls and restaurants. It's hard to find, especially after dark, and I liked the room more than the location. Breakfast is complimentary, with a limited selection, but it was enough to get going. I'm not much of a breakfast person, so no complaints. There's also a rooftop where you can bring a hot coffee and relax in winter, though I never got around to it, lol.

We'd give it 4.5. The staff were friendly, everything was clean, and the facilities were good. Our room was spacious, with a large bathtub and separate toilet and bathroom. The rooftop was easy to get to and had a beautiful city view. Breakfast was nice and healthy. The hotel is near a station, with easy access to popular destinations. There was a big TV, though we didn't use it because it didn't have Netflix. We'd recommend it.

We booked five nights pretty last minute for only around 400 USD. The room was spacious, clean, and nice, with a big rain shower. It was super quiet, and the rooms are soundproof, so we didn't hear neighbors. Breakfast was free and included toast, fried and boiled eggs, sausages, espresso, juice, milk, and salad. I really recommend this hotel for exploring seoul. Its location is right in the middle of what we wanted to see, within walking distance of the traditional district with insadong, hanok villages, and the palaces.

There’s a nice rooftop space, and breakfast runs from 7:30 to 9:30 in the morning. The rooms are a good size and kept clean, with good showers. Bottled water is provided, and you can grab more from the fridge by reception.
