Jongro Alice

I had a great first impression of Korea, and the staff here were very friendly and nice. The place was clean, the internet was fast, and the boiler worked properly. It's in a lovely area with cafes, close to the subway but still quiet. There's a restaurant on the first floor, with more restaurants and convenience stores nearby.

The location worked well, and I found the female staff member friendly, helpful, accommodating, and good at English. The price was reasonable for a small group, though the room can fit no more than three people. They cleaned the room and replaced the towels each day, but didn't make the beds. The hotel toilet is in the basement of the neighboring building. If your room isn't ready yet, you can leave your luggage in the lobby and spend some time at the nearby shops, cafes, and restaurants.

Alice’s family room was really cheap, which helped since family rooms in the downtown area are few and usually very expensive. We stayed in one for four people. It was perhaps a little small, but we didn't have much choice. The toilet was cleaner than I expected.

The triple deluxe room was tiny, and the bathroom was dirty and smelled bad. After I arrived, they cancelled my booking, so I couldn't leave a review. The listing photos don't match what you actually get. I'd advise against booking this guesthouse.
