KW Hongdae Line Hostel

The rooms are basic, but the beds are comfy and they have everything you need. The staff are great, and the location is good.

The rooms were very clean, and the staff were friendly and always happy to help. It was a comfortable, affordable stay right in the heart of Hongdae, close to the subway, restaurants, and shops.

I stayed for a week. The location put us in the middle of everything, the rooms were perfect, and the housekeeping was great too 👍🏻💗

We could hear the old mini fridge making really loud noises through the night, and it kept me awake for a while. There weren't decent blinds on either window, so morning light came straight onto my face since the bed is right by the window. There was no hot water at night, just water at natural temperature. We also saw a cockroach run through the room. The room was cramped, old, poorly maintained, and didn't feel clean. We were on the fifth floor, with no elevator, though a staff member kindly helped carry my 20kg suitcase upstairs. The entrance was dark and dodgy, at the end of an alley. The location is good, in the heart of Hongdae and close to shops, restaurants, and the subway. Still, this was by far the worst of the three places I stayed in South Korea. It was a last-minute booking for one night because of flight changes, and I wouldn't recommend it.
