Long stay hostel Sinchon Hongdae

The hostel had a friendly feel, and even traveling solo, you might find someone to chat with or swap travel stories. It’s in a convenient spot, five minutes on foot from Sinchon station, with lots of little shops and cafes around. Our room matched the photos, with a comfortable bed, air conditioning, and a TV if you have time to watch. Everything was in order and working, and the room and toilet were clean and a decent size. A nice experience.

There’s a fridge in the room, plus a good shower and quality shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner. Downstairs you can use a hot and cold water dispenser, microwave, and kitchen utensils. They only supply hand towels, so bring a larger one. The room stayed quiet at night even though Long Stay Hostel is in lively Sinchon, near shops, bars, and restaurants. It’s a three or four minute walk to Sinchon station on line 2. The host was friendly and helpful, and it was a great budget stay for us as a backpacking couple. We’d gladly return if we get back to Seoul.

Richard, the owner, was friendly and went out of his way to help. He communicates well in several languages, which made things easy for travelers who aren’t fluent in Korean. I felt at home and will stay here again if I visit Seoul. I was there in winter, and the room was spotless and warm, with surprisingly comfortable beds. There were heated floors and bed mats, bath products, a microwave, filtered drinking water, hot showers all day and night, and laundry service. The location is convenient, a short walk from Sinchon metro station, which has an elevator, and there are lots of convenience stores, beauty pharmacies, department stores, Korean street food stalls, and places to eat nearby. Affordable, comfortable, and welcoming. Cheer~

The host was the best part, friendly, attentive, and clearly caring about the place. I felt right at home, thanks to the clean, stylish interior and all the thoughtful little touches. Getting to public transport and local attractions was easy too. I’d recommend this guesthouse to anyone visiting Korea.
