The room itself was reasonably clean and not bad, though the design didn't seem very well thought out. My issue was with security. There are two marked smoking areas, but neither is conveniently placed for people staying in the suites. I went to the workers' ashtray near the construction area, which is remote and where guests don't seem to go. Security came over twice to tell me not to smoke. I pointed out that I was by the construction smoking area and wasn't bothering anyone, but they said they didn't know anything about that area and kept insisting I couldn't smoke.

We really liked the hotel's big park, with its Christmas atmosphere, and the fresh flowers in the lobby. We stayed two nights in January, and the indoor pool, sauna, and wellness facilities were great for the cold winter weather. The room was very clean and perfectly prepared for guests. A lovely place, and being near the airport worked well for us. Thank you :)

The peaceful, green surroundings were beautiful and made for a relaxing stay. Everyone on staff was so kind and welcoming, and my room was spotless and well kept, with good attention to hygiene and comfort. Check-in and check-out both went smoothly. Mayfield Seoul is away from the main city centre, but it has its own charm and staying there feels like a unique experience.

It felt more like being in a voluntary prison than at a hotel. Fine for a few days, but I wouldn't recommend a longer stay.
