Myeongdong Sunshine Guesthouse

The view was lovely, and the staff were friendly and easy to talk to. The room was clean and organized, and they let us check in early for free. Our room wasn’t available the day after we arrived, so they had booked a separate room for us for one night. There was unlimited free coffee and water, too. We didn’t expect much, but the hotel made the whole stay worthwhile. It’s handy for walking around Myeongdong shopping street. DAISO is just a block away and visible from our window.

We had a queen bedroom for three nights. The guesthouse is near Myeongdong street, the subway, and the airport transfer bus. It did the job as a place to rest after long days sightseeing. They provided small towels, but I’d suggest bringing your own.

We were out all day and mainly needed somewhere to sleep and rest our legs, and this guesthouse worked for that. We stayed four nights and slept well. The thick little towels were enough to dry off. It’s right on Myeongdong Street, with food everywhere and the streets still busy at 11 pm. Those conveniences made it a solid choice for us.

We booked nine days but left after just two nights. We have a toddler, and other guests knocked on our wall whenever our child made even a little noise. We know it’s shared accommodation, but if that kind of reaction is to be expected, families like ours shouldn’t have been allowed to book. We’ve moved to another hotel where we can be with our toddler without feeling uncomfortable. The location here is good, but the room was dim and small, and it wasn’t a pleasant stay. If you have kids, please avoid this place.
