The room was practical and cleverly laid out, with comfortable, spacious beds, just as shown in the Booking pictures. We got complimentary water, tea, and coffee, and the plastic slippers and tub were a nice surprise. The staff were pleasant. It’s centrally located, very close to a subway station and the airport limousine bus stop. There’s a cafe bistro inside with a reasonably priced breakfast option.

The room was okay, and the bed wasn’t too hard, but it sagged in the middle. In November there was no air conditioning, and the room felt hot, which wasn’t very suitable for a Scandinavian. The refrigerator didn’t work and was moldy and smelly. I told the receptionist; they cleaned it, but that was all. It was disgusting to touch. I thought at least complimentary breakfast would have been nice, and I never heard from the staff after they cleaned it.

On my first night, water began dripping from the ceiling and got bad enough that they had to move me to another room. The service was good, and the hotel wasn’t bad overall for such a central spot, but the rooms could definitely be improved.

The location is unbeatable, and it’s great value with kind staff. We had a valve issue, which they sorted out almost immediately. Everything was very clean, and we got fresh towels every day.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and getting around was easy on foot. I could walk to the street food markets, the palace, the hop-on bus, the subway station, and the shrine. A great place to stay.
