The common kitchen has rice with no limit and free instant noodles, and there’s a washing machine you can use for free. In the room, you get a small bed, private bathroom, fridge, desk, and cabinet. It’s compact, but affordable, so that works for me. The heating and AC are centrally controlled. I’m from a tropical country, and even the summer AC felt cold to me. Winter was much worse: they rarely turned the heat on, and it was freezing inside. I asked them to switch it on, but nothing changed. It was a great stay until winter, so I’m giving it four stars.

The kitchen was disgusting, and nobody seemed to clean it. There were little black mold spots on the wall, grease caked under the frying pans, and the cups holding the supposedly clean cutlery were filthy and moldy at the bottom. I asked the landlord to clean up. He spent maybe a minute wiping some of the grease, then left the rest. There wasn’t much cooking equipment either, not even a cutting board. The hall was clean, at least. I think the landlord should be responsible for keeping shared areas in decent shape. If he spent even 5% less time watching the CCTV, this place might be much better. I stayed just under a month and paid 430.000 KRW for a tiny room with no outside window. It was around 2.1 by 2.4 meters, about 5 square meters including a bathroom taking up more than a quarter of it. I’m 190 cm tall, and with my arms out I could almost touch all four walls. No daylight came in, and the air got pretty bad. They gave me a pillow and blanket for free, but no covers. The bed was really hard and bad. The landlord speaks some English and keeps to himself. I’m pretty sure he turned off the aircon in my room for most of the day, and it got really hot. There was nowhere to meet people except the hall or that grimy kitchen, so mostly you were left alone in your room. Spicy noodles are free, though, enjoy. You get what you pay for, and nothing more. I’d stay away and find somewhere with at least 8 square meters of space, a landlord who cleans the common areas, and a shared spot where you can actually talk to other people.

A small room, but enough for one person. There’s a microwave, toaster, and hot water machine, so you’ll need to buy food that can be cooked in the microwave. The rooms have floor heating in winter. Good for quarantine.

Really affordable and in a great central spot. It was clean and came with towels, soap, shampoo, a hairdryer, and my own fridge. There’s no outside window, though, so airing the room out is hard.
