Novotel Suites Ambassador Seoul Yongsan - Seoul Dragon City

The sound from a construction site right beside the hotel started around 4am one night. It wasn’t deafening, but I could still hear it. Even so, I’d recommend the hotel. It was good value compared with the Seoul or Myeongdong station areas, and the room was spacious, with a mini kitchen and washing machine. Yongsan train station and a huge shopping mall are within walking distance, and KTX stops at the station. Staff spoke basic English and were professional and friendly. Jensen at the front lobby was especially helpful in showing us the check-in counter, and greeted me every time I saw him during my 4 days there in april 2026.

The shared complex could get busy, especially in the common areas, but the gym and pool were good facilities. We spent seven nights here as a family and found it a very comfortable base for exploring Seoul. The hotel connects directly to Yongsan Station, which made subway and train trips easy, and it’s also connected to IPark Mall for restaurants, cafes, groceries, and quick meals. Our suite worked well for a longer stay, with a small living area and kitchenette where we could relax and prepare simple food. That made a big difference with family compared with a standard room. The bed was comfortable, the room quiet, and housekeeping kept it clean and well maintained all week. Service was professional and smooth. I’d happily stay again.

Check-in and checkout should be quicker, especially for guests who have already preregistered. There was no staff to help people arriving with luggage, and tour buses blocked the entrance every day. The lobby felt like it was filled with members of the public walking through instead of being for hotel guests. Pool and sauna use was limited by how many times customers could go. For a 5 star hotel, I don’t think it lived up to the rating.

Getting to Yongsan Station and I-Park Mall over the pedestrian bridge was easy. The room was clean and spacious, with a bidet, hair dryer, iron and board, refrigerator, and electric kettle. There was a nice little bar/cafe, and the buffet breakfast was delicious. Very convenient!
