Open Guest House

I stayed at White Story for 16 days as a solo female traveler. The room was the smallest of my trip, which lasted a little over two weeks, but for the price it had what I needed: a good bed, small fridge, little window for nighttime air, and easy-to-use floor heating. When I arrived, the housekeeper gave me a lovely tour, and I saw her several times during my stay. The bathroom is shared. At first I wasn’t sure about it, but I got used to letting the water run until it reached my preferred temperature and leaving a towel by the door to dry my feet afterward. Then it was pretty good. The washer/dryer cost less than a euro and worked perfectly. I just wish there’d been instructions, since the buttons were in Korean and Google Translate didn’t explain them well. There’s a small kitchen with an induction plate, microwave, hot and cold water dispenser, and a sink for washing dishes. They also explain how to recycle, which is normal to do and something I like them educating travelers about. Since I was there for over two weeks, I would’ve liked a way to change the bedding. I could’ve done it myself if spare sheets had been available. White Story isn’t luxury, but it’s good value for the price.
