Pacific Hotel

Our room at Pacific Hotel had plenty of space for three of us, with one double bed and one single bed. We had a great trip, and it was handy having halal restaurants nearby. Meongdong street night market was close too, with lots of shopping around.

We were able to leave our luggage at the hotel for the afternoon after checkout, which gave us time to enjoy the city before heading to the airport. The hotel was extremely clean and well appointed, and it’s in a great spot for shopping and restaurants. The subway and airport bus are both across the street. I’d definitely stay again. Two bathroom details could use more thought: there’s a raised threshold that made us bang our feet whenever we stepped out, and there’s nowhere near the shower to hang a bath towel.

Jean Yeong Hwan at breakfast was friendly and helpful, though the front desk staff generally felt unwelcoming. My room stayed at a sweltering 27°C even after I adjusted the thermostat. The amenities were sparse, just 2-in-1 shampoo, and I was surprised to have to pay for a toothbrush. The gym was closed on Sunday without advance notice, which disrupted my schedule. If I’d known the facilities were restricted, I would’ve booked somewhere else. Disappointing for a 4-star hotel.

Service was great and the staff were helpful. There are 24/7 convenience stores, Daiso, and halal restaurants nearby, which made the location quite good. The hotel is a bit old, though, and some blankets and pillows may be worn.
