There’s a lot to borrow or use here, from toothbrushes, skincare, chargers and adaptors to a hair dryer, straightener, and luggage scale. The pantry and common room are well equipped too, and you can borrow an umbrella when it rains. The host was friendly and accommodating, the Wi-Fi was strong, and the rooms were clean. The location is handy for ttukseom train station, Olive Young, CU, Subway, and Blue Bottle. The bathrooms are the main drawback. The women’s bathroom has one sink, two toilets, and two showers, with a strange smell that might be from the lack of exhaust. The toilet bin is emptied once a day and gets so full that tissues end up on the floor. Towels are small and seem well used, so I’d bring my own, and a portable bidet too if you use one. There’s only one light switch in the room, which can leave it very dark when someone wants a small light on at night. There’s no elevator either. If shared bathroom conditions matter to you, I’d look for a hotel or hostel with an ensuite bathroom.

The owner was lovely and had lots of things available to borrow, and the central location made getting around really easy. I stayed two nights in October and had a great time. The room felt a bit cramped for two, and getting up to it meant climbing three flights of stairs, but I’d come back.

The markets are nearby, there’s a GS store right across the street, and the subway is just downstairs. It’s a lively area ♥️. I had a really comfortable stay, and the amenities were great, with pretty much everything provided so you only need to bring clothes. It was also fun to try a bunk bed stay for a change.

The kitchen is huge and has tea and coffee, and there are lots of handy extras around, including shampoo, conditioner, soap, hairbands, bandages, and toothbrushes. My bed was comfortable and had its own outlet. Richard was so kind, answered all my questions by email, and let me check in at 10 AM after my flight was delayed. I wish it hadn’t been raining, because the rooftop looked like a lovely place to hang out.

After a long flight and layover, having a private room was great. Richard was very kind, showed me around at check-in, and helped me get settled. The rooftop was easy to access for some fresh air and broad city views. Laundry worked efficiently, there were plenty of towels, and the room’s air conditioning worked well too. I’d stay here again if I’m in the area.
