Sinchon Yaja

There's room to spread out, with plenty of space for your things, and the bathtub is big. I also liked the location near trains and lots of shops, plus the counter with free drinking water, coffee, and soft drinks. A heater is provided too. The room wasn't especially clean. The air conditioner was noisy and didn't cool very well, and I could hear water moving through the pipes. There were no clothes hangers in the room. The air conditioner noise did help cover the sound of the water.

We ended up moving rooms several times, but the staff were really kind throughout and we managed to settle in for our three-night stay. The first room had a noisy bathroom. The second smelled of smoke from previous guests, despite the hotel being non-smoking. The third had a large bathtub, but after I'd showered, staff called to offer another room because construction nearby might make it noisy. We moved to a fourth room. The rooms are large for the price. I compared other hotels and motels nearby at similar prices, and Hotel Sinchon Gaeul seemed to have the biggest rooms. The location is handy for food, shopping, and the metro. Newly opened BHC chicken is nearby, and G25 and Olive Young are around the corner. Bus 6002 goes directly from ICN airport. NAVER map may show a nearby hotel, like Hotel anytime, as a location reference. If you come by airport limousine bus, the map might direct you to stairs for the shortest route. With big luggage, you can walk a little farther to avoid them. They offer free drinks, including coffee, tea, canned drinks, and bottled water, which is a nice extra that nearby hotels don't provide. We arrived at 12:30pm and the reception or owner let us check in early. Check-out is at 2pm, which is flexible; nearby hotels often make you wait until 8pm-10pm to check in, tiring after a long flight. There's free luggage storage and a lift. The building is old, so cleanliness may not be the best, but it was acceptable, and you can request daily room cleaning. There’s air conditioning, and all rooms have windows. I’d definitely return to Hotel Sinchon Gaeul.

I stayed for three nights and absolutely loved the hotel. The staff were friendly, and the location made it easy to get food, shop, and get around. I walked to neighboring hongdae to catch the airport train, about 15 minutes away, though there was also a bus running roughly every five minutes.

The place had a great atmosphere, location, and facilities, and the staff were very friendly. They even supplied water, which was a nice detail. Cleanliness could have been better, though.
