The Central Hongdae

The staff were so sweet and helpful. One kind woman carried both of my heavy bags up to the third floor without me even asking. There isn't an elevator, so keep that in mind if you're bringing big suitcases. I stayed two nights, went to Busan, then came back for another six. The room is simple but cozy, and the kitchen, washer and dryer, and 24-hour espresso machine were great to have. Hongdae street is just around the corner, and Hongkik subway station is two blocks away. It felt like a lovely little home away from home, and I'll stay here again when I'm back in Seoul.

The self-service check-in and checkout suited me since I didn't have to think about whether reception was open. It feels more like a residence with a shared kitchen than a hotel. The interior seemed recently remodeled and reminded me of citizenM Hotel in Charles de Gaulle Terminal 1. There's a CU on the first floor, where it seemed easier to find popular items than around Hongdae Station. Daiso and All Young are also within a two-minute walk. I wasn't around during the day, but the manager was there in the evening, so it seemed well looked after. I'll stay here again next time I'm in Korea.

The owner was friendly, and the whole place had a warm, welcoming feel. It was also in a handy spot, with plenty of good restaurants nearby. My room was clean and had everything I needed, and the accommodation as a whole felt cozy and very well kept. I liked the range of snacks they provided, too. I had a great stay and would love to come back if I get the chance. :) ♡

I felt comfortable staying here, and the main-street location seemed safe. The place was really clean and the facilities were good. I'd stay again next time. 😊
