The room let the place down. For a 4-star hotel, most things were fine, but my room was worn out, with stains and tears all over. The toilet seat position made no sense and didn’t work for tall people, around 6 feet. The hallway outside the room was also very worn, with water dripping. The bedding shed a lot of stuffing or lint. The AC unit above the bed made a noticeable hum and gave off light at night, which couldn’t be turned off while it was running. I paid 155 CAD for the buffet for two, including the 10% hotel guest discount. It wasn’t worth it. Some food was done well, other dishes not so much, and you could get better value elsewhere. In short, it didn’t feel like 4-star quality, though it was acceptable for what I paid.

The lobby is nice, and the staff are friendly and very helpful. The hotel itself is old and currently being renovated, though, and the rooms show their wear and need repairs. There’s no shower curtain, so water sprays all over the bathroom when you shower.

Getting here from the airport is convenient, and the limousine bus stops right at the door. The hotel is very well located, close to the Red line and Sinsa station. The staff are friendly, but the rooms feel old-fashioned and the interior needs refurbishing.

I spent a week here in October 2025. The building is old, but it’s all well maintained and clean. My spacious room and bathroom were clean, with spotless sheets, a comfortable bed and pillow, and a window that opens about 10 cm. The towels were soft and felt new. There’s a bathtub, bathrobe, and high-quality soap and shampoo. The room was cleaned every day, with two bottles of mineral water supplied daily. The kettle seemed fairly new, and there was a hair dryer, safe and elevator. The location is very strategic in gangnam, within walking distance of sinsa MRT station. The airport bus shelter is near the hotel, and C U minimarket is next door.

The dinner buffet cost 90000 krw and had lots to choose from, including delicious Korean, Chinese, Japanese and Italian food. There was a good dessert selection and plenty of spirits, with some bottomless options. I’d go again next time I’m in Sinsa-dong with friends!
